Kita sudah membahas mengenai produk washed jeans dari Lee sebelumnya yaitu model 101B europe. Kali ini kita akan membahas salah satu produk ikonik dari Lee yaitu Lee 101ZÂ yang merupakan versi washnya. Sesuai dengan namanya, Lee 101z adalah produk andalan Lee yang sudah dibuat sejak sekitar tahun 1920an dan sampai saat ini masih tetap merupakan produk ikonik dengan penggunaan zippernya yang inovatif. Seperti produk washed jeans dari Lee lainnya, produk ini juga mengedepankan unsur vintage dan wash yang natural.
Lee 101z washed jeans dari Lee Europe ini merupakan model yang tampaknya terinspirasi dari model Lee 101z tahun 50an. Kita bisa melihat desain yang sudah lebih simple dibanding versi 101B-nya. Jeans ini tidak lagi menggunakan cinchback di bagian belakang celananya. Kita juga tidak lagi menemukan triple stitching di bagian-bagian seam seperti versi 101B, kini digantikan dengan double stitch ataupun single stitch.
Hardware yang digunakan pada celana ini juga tampaknya sudah melalui proses aging sebelumnya, hampir sama dengan versi washed 101B. Kita bisa melihat top button yang sudah mulai memudar dan terlihat berkarat pada versi washed ini. Begitu pula halnya dengan rivet yang sudah terlihat aging. Selain itu tidak lupa efek aging juga terjadi di bagian zippernya.
Bahan denim untuk produk ini tampaknya dibuat dengan bahan yang non-selvage, kami asumsikan begitu karena kita tidak melihat adanya selvage line di bagian outseam. Namun kita merasa bahwa denim yang dipakai di versi washed ini sama dengan versi washed dari 101B-nya. Patch yang dipakai juga sama dengan patch di 101B, sebuah leather patch dengan tekstur kulit jeruk dan tulisan Lee berwarna putih.
Untuk masalah fading dan wash-nya, jeans ini memiliki washing effect yang cukup natural. Kita bisa melihat adanya whisker yang halus pada bagian paha atas dan fading yang natural pada bagian paha. Kami juga menemukan fading yang mirip dengan versi 101B di bagian bawah kaki. Kita bisa melihat cuff marks dan roping effect yang natural pada bagian itu.
Produk ini tentunya memiliki elemen vintage dan image yang kental, cocok untuk seseorang yang terinspirasi dari gaya James Dean dan menginginkan celana wash yang bagus. Detail vintage dan washing effect pada jeans ini membuat jeans ini berkesan sangat vintage dan menarik.

We have discussed earlier about Lee 101B europe washed edition and this time we’re going to discuss about one of the most iconic Lee product which is Lee 101Z, the washed version. Like its name, Lee 101z is a zipper fly denim jeans from Lee since its early launch in the 20s. Like all the other washed jeans, this product also shows its vintage image and natural washes.
This model is clearly inspired by the later model of 101, especially the 101z in the 50s. We can see the design has been simplified compared to its sister, 101B. This jeans no longer use cinchback at the back and we cannot see that triple stitched seam like in the 101B, which has been replaced by a double or single stitch.
The hardware used on the jeans looks like it has been through an aging process, just like the 101B. The top button is already fading and has that rusty looks on it. The same way goes with the rivets and also the zipper.
From the absence of selvage line on the outseam, we can concur that this product is not made from a selvage denim. But we are pretty sure that the denim used on this product is the same as the 101B version, because we can see the fading is similar. The patch used is also the same brown peebled leather patch with a white Lee logo written.
From what we’ve seen from the overall fading, this jeans has the perfect amount of washes, natural looking fading effect without overdoing it. We can still see some soft whiskering in the thigh and also the lap fade. We also see similar fading pattern at the bottom portion of the leg. We can see the cuff marks and natural ropping effect formed on the jeans.
This product has those vintage elements with the help of their natural washes and design. This will surely fit for those who are deeply inspired to James Dean’s style and want a pants with a natural and nice fading on it. The vintage details and washes in this jeans is surely interesting.
